The Beaver Lake area's modern history began in the 1930s as a private resort, first known as the Four Seasons and later as Andy's Beaver Lake Resort. In 1960, the property was sold to the Catholic Archdiocese of Seattle and operated as Camp Cabrini. King County eventually purchased the site, and in 2003, it was transferred to the newly incorporated City of Sammamish, creating the magnificent Beaver Lake Park that serves as the community's heart today.
